Tuesday, October 13th, 2009Joel asked:
Me and my friends have been thinking about making short skits like tons of people do on YouTube. I have a good sony Handycam 1080i video recorder. But My real question is how can I get my videos to look good? You know how professional movies have such a different contrast to them. How do they get this? How can I get this?

…No it is not encino man…I saw this movie on tv a couple years ago an now im trying to find it so i can write a review of it. What i remember from the movie was that a frozen neanderthal was discoverd and brought back to life in modern times so that a group of scientists could study him in a little biodome type habitat. It was avery intersting movie any answers are much appreciated.

why doesn’t the third girl get named in the news or reviews on tv its three woman who make up the dream girls and only Beyonce and Jennifer Hudson are the ones named as the dream girls now I admit I haven’t seen the movie but is the other actress really that bad that she doesn’t even get named as one of the stars of the movie since it is about the dream girls and she plays one of them.

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009Riddick Trilogy?
Friday, July 24th, 2009Nix asked:
I got a question. About 3-4 months ago, my step brother and his girlfriend showed me the first Riddick movie…I was hooked. I eagerly wished for them to put in the second one, and I was kinda disappointed. Then they put in the third one, and I loved it all over again. I got 2 questions about this trilogy…first off, why did they do the second one in *** animation? The story honestly kinda sucks, not much action, and it’s all done in VERY bad animation honestly. Second off, how come the Riddick Trilogy wasn’t that popular? I fricken LOVED IT!!!!! Why wouldn’t other people? I didn’t even hear about it on TV or on reviews or from other people or anything…it was my step brother and his girlfriend that just brought it home from BlockBuster one time…anyone got any ideas?

Will Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island be a commercial success or will it end up looking like a TV movie?
Thursday, July 23rd, 2009RetroAgassi asked:
The problem with films based on books written by Dennis Lehane is that they look like well-made TV movies. The films based on his books don’t warrant big budgets: Mystic River had a $25M budget and Gone Baby Gone had a $19M budget.

Even though Scorsese’s last film didn’t have especially great visuals, like his last two (The Aviator, Gangs of New York) simply because the material didn’t have the potential for sweeping cinematography, the film was extremely successful due to its A-list cast: Dicaprio, Damon, Nicholson, and Wahlberg.
This film only has one A-list actor: Dicaprio. Of course, there are talented supporting actors, but how will Scorsese have a fourth consecutive commercial success with Dicaprio with this material and this cast?

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009Why can’t magazines give real reviews about movies?
Sunday, June 28th, 2009enterrador asked:
Everytime you hear a review on tv, it’s like news week calls this move, superb, an action packed thriller. When i go to see a movie and someone asks me how was the movie i usually say eh, it was ok, i wouldn’t buy it or if i were you i’d wait till it comes out on DVD. Why won’t magazines give real reviews like normal people would? You know, Newsweek says eh, it was ok.
