    Captain Ahab is played by Darrell Sandeen. Is that the commercial you’re asking about?

    So, no, he didn’t have a TV series in the Sixties. He guested on Bonanza. It seems that a lot of people thought Ahab might be played by John Russell, but Mr. Russell, star of the Sixties TV series Lawman, died in 1991.
